This grounding will instill practical knowledge and confidence, which will then be used as a springboard for contemporary ways of thinking and working. As well as creating finished pieces, the drawing process will be firmly acknowledged as an art form in itself. This course will teach a range of drawing skills and develop understanding of the structure of the human figure. We will study and portray the relationship between figure and space, exploring different themes. We will be encouraged to explore our own approach to drawing and work through a series of exercises whilst using a wide range of materials including charcoal, graphite, pens, crayons or sepia.
